Motion sensor works very well with soft close lid. It definitely neutralizes odor so great for garbage cans in pantries ur kitchens

The 13-gallon capacity is a good size for most kitchens, and the stainless steel finish is sleek and modern. The bag cinch design is useful. It keeps the bag.The primary selling point is the "UV + Ozone Dual Purification" for odor control. While I have noticed a reduction in odors compared to a standard trash can, it's difficult to say definitively how much of that is due to the UV/ozone system versus simply having a well-sealed lid. There's no visible indicator or way to confirm that the UV/ozone function is actively working. This is the main reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five. The long-term effectiveness and safety of the ozone generation are also slight concerns. The use of a power adapter, while eliminating battery use for the odor system, is not good. It takes up an outlet, and makes it so it can not be placed anywhere. Overall, though, this is a well-designed and functional smart trash can that does a good job of containing odors and providing a convenient, hands-free experience. The UV/ozone feature is a potential bonus, but its actual effectiveness is difficult to quantify.

This is the trash can that keeps on giving lol. Not only does it do its best to neutralize smells but it also using a uv light to kill bacteria so that your trash is in a safe environment lol.All jokes aside this is a great trash can. Ill take tis over a simple any day. Now if you are throwing away disgusting items and letting them fester I'm not sure the trash can will be able to handle it. I ordered this trashcan to replace the one in my kitchen, which was also a NineStars trashcan. This one is nearly identical to the one I replaced with the exception of the odor neutralizer and the lid plugs into an outlet as opposed to utilizing batteries. All other aspects are identical in appearance, size, etc. The kid is touchless and extremely quiet. It's easy to clean with some stainless steel cleaner. Anyways, it's a standard kitchen sized (13 gallons) & sturdy trash can. I'm undecided on whether the odor neutralizing technology works or not, as I don't have particularly smelly trash these days. Even if it does, it's tough to justify the cost of this can. The price is considerably higher compared to other touchless trash cans available on Amazon and even ones by this sale manufacturer ($210 at the time of writing this review). For context, the nearly identical trash can I mentioned earlier cost me $54 approximately six months the ago. This is the only reason I chose to deduct a star. I'm tempted to deduct two stars because of how outrageous the price is! Otherwise, even though I'm quite happy with this trashcan I would recommend other ones that are nearly identical at less than half this price point.

This trash can is everything I hoped it would be. It arrived well packaged with no dents or damage and assembling took seconds. It's 13 gallon in size which is ideal for our kitchen and it doesn't detract from the decor.I love the sensor which works well. This is especially helpful when your preparing food and have dirty hands. It does take a short while for the lid to close after auto opening but you get used to it. It also has a built in UV light that helps to neutralize odors. So far it seems to be doing a good job.I am very happy with this item and can recommend.
